Well, as we all know this is the year of the cute cuddly Rabbit.  According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2011 is the Year of the Golden Rabbit, which begins on February 3, 2011 and ends on January 22, 2012.  The Rabbit is the fourth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animals signs.  The Rabbit is a lucky sign.  Rabbits are private individuals and a bit introverted.  People born in the Year of the Rabbit are reasonably friendly individuals who enjoy the company of a group of good friends.  They are good teachers, counselors and communicators, but also need their own space.

Now, not many people know that the Rabbit is the symbol of the Moon, while the Peacock is the symbol of the Sun, and that together, these two animal signs signify the start of day and night which represents the Yin and Yang of life.  It is said that anyone making supplications for wishes to be fulfilled are certain to get what they want...hmnnn.. and in the Year of the Rabbit, the wish-granting aspect of the Sun and the Moon combined is multiplied.  The Moon is YIN and this is the Yin of Heaven, signifying magic.  Thus on each of the Full Moon nights of this year, go out into your garden to gaze into the Full Moon and visualize plenty of Moon dust and Moon glow flowing into you, filling your whole body with bright white light and granting you fearlessness, love and courage.  This will not only strengthen your inner "Chi" energy, it will also bring wisdom into your life.

Coral coasters

Hey guys,

Let me take you through a journey filled with colours and ideas and for those who are looking for personalised handmade gifts, you have come to the right place.

BeAd Surgery is all about my fresh new ideas and handmade goodies made during my free time.  for a start, I have uploaded unique Coral Coasters suitable for hot or cold drinks as it is coiled with stainless steel wires and heavy duty beads (but, please don't drop a brick on it !!).

I spend a lot of time travelling and venturing out to exotic places

in search of new ideas and also to relax and unwind (Life as an educator is not a joke I tell ya).  So, last year my friends and I took the opportunity to visit some of Sabah's beautiful islands.  One particular island that caught my interest was Pulau Tiga (the Survivor Island).  We were guided through an 8km jungle walk which ended with a volcanic mud bath.  After the bath, we took a 1.5km walk to the spot we first started and jumped into the blue sea (well, it was nowhere near blue after we took a dip...).  After that, I had the chance to relax and unwind as I rowed my kayak above natures truly amazing underwater world, the Coral Reefs.  Beautiful colours, structures so well combined, just like an underwater heaven. 

At that moment, I took in as much mental image as I could of such beauty and I kept it in till I found the right idea to project it on.  Today, here I am with my brand new creation, Coral Coasters.  Unique and colourful beads coiled through stainless steel wires forming a coaster that parts your table and mug to ensure no coffee stains are left behind.
